If I could describe myself in 100 characters, that’s not who I’d want to be

I’m not your average designer, and I want to be.

Born and raised in the Hudson Valley of NY, I quickly found my home in Seattle after college.

In my free time, I’m very competitive at bar trivia, softball, and curling.

I’m less competitive, but just as obsessive, about crossword puzzles, knitting, baking, and trying every new restaurant in the neighborhood.

I love to travel. I find that I learn best when I’m navigating a novel, unfamiliar place. I’ve been to 48 states and 23 countries so far.

And before settling into my UX career, I had brief jobs manufacturing computer chips, conducting nanotech research, building airplane repair machinery, SAT tutoring, and teaching technical writing.
